Dear Colleagues,
The Trustees of the British Friends of Harvard Business School are pleased to invite you to its annual dinner on Wednesday 27 January 2010 at 7.30 pm for 8.00 pm at the Carlton Club, 69 St James Street, SW1. Sir Robert Worcester, KBE DL, Founder of MORI, Chancellor of the University of Kent and former Fulbright Commissioner will be our guest of honour and speaker who will talk on ‘The Current Political Scene, Britain and the USA’.
This is a great opportunity for alumni and donors to meet past scholarship recipients, fellow HBS alumni and HBS faculty in convivial surroundings as well as participating in a fascinating discussion. We would be delighted if you were able to attend.
The British Friends of Harvard Business School Scholarship Fund, including pledges, now stands at £800,000. This year we were able to award four full tuition Fulbright scholarships to study at HBS. Our goal now is to reach an endowment of £2 million.
My company, the American Institute for Foreign Study, is sponsoring this dinner.
Please let Debbie Wilson know if you would like to attend at e-mail dwilson@aifs.co.uk. A donation of £100 per person (eligible for gift aid) is requested (more if you wish) from those attending the dinner, all proceeds will go to the Scholarship Fund to fund Fulbright scholarships for financially needy British students to attend HBS.
If you are unable to attend we would still very much appreciate a donation to this worthy cause. Remember that donations are deductible against UK taxes and count towards class and reunion giving at HBS. Dual UK/US tax payers can donate through the CAF American Donors Fund and get tax relief in both countries. Contact us for the appropriate forms.
I do hope you will be able to attend and very much look forward to meeting you.
Yours sincerely,
Sir Cyril Taylor, GBE
